  We went this evening and they were busy but not excessively so. It took about 20 minutes to give our waitress our order. I asked for a beer and wine list and had to wait another 20 minutes. It was about 45 minutes after we got there that we got our food and the pineapple pizza that our 5 year old ordered came out with banana peppers and Canadian bacon. When we reminded the waitress that it was to be pineapple, she had a new one made, but by then we'd been at the restaurant for nearly an hour and our little one didn't have time to eat at the restaurant. We had to bring the pizza, for which we were still charged full price, home. I was very disappointed and the only reason it's getting two stars is because I've been there before and it was ok. It was never worth the prices they charge, but fast friendly service somewhat made up the difference. We didn't have fast or friendly service this evening. The waitress was surly and didn't check on us at all aside from when I waved my hand like I was landing a jet. Very poor experience.

  This was the first restaurant our son and daughter in law brought us to when they moved to Savannah 5 years ago. We try to get to Basil's each time we visit. Their pizza is very good. Service can take a little extra time when they are busy, but we have always had very nice wait staff. The prices are also reasonable. Our grandson really loves to play in the kids room. They even have a closed circuit tv so parents can watch their kids playing. Overall a great place to eat.

  Wow! Very disappointed. We're new on the island and we asked a neighbor to recommend a restaurant. They said Basils. We went and we're astonished how bad the food tasted. We could have gotten a better meal at a fast food restaurant for a quarter of the price. The tables were also filthy. We should have read the reviews more carefully before we went. Not going back.
